Sometimes things don’t exactly go as planned. A freak accident = fractured metatarsal…Hmmm, my 150 mile charity bike event? The SF marathon?? one day of poor me, then okay….doc did say – go for it with the non weight bearing? go for it eh…..hmmmm….my cycling coach in between winning US Nationals popped over to change out my pedals, bike on trainer, duct tape in hand….you get the picture. often times in life unexpected events happen that can throw us off course. It’s easy to use these as excuses or get off track but with a little improvising one can not only make the most of a curve ball but get creative, and crack yourself up in the process.

Beautiful! Hopeful! And I hope you feel better. When you wrote sometimes you “crack yourself up in the process,” I thought you were going to write sometimes you “crack yourself open in the process!” I think both are true! Sometimes an accident is just what I need to get to what’s underneath. Good luck.
